We want to let everyone know Evan Lawrence Raymond was born on Thursday, December 28, 2006 at 8:40 PM. He weighed in at 8 pounds 5 ounces and measured 20 inches long. This glorious event occurred at St. Joseph's Hospital in Denver, CO. Both baby and mother are doing well. Kristen will need some recovery time due to the C-section and a 40 hour labor. Daddy already has had on the job training with diaper changing due to some major blowouts. The Evan L. Raymond Diaper Fund will be set up shortly. He is, of course, probably the smartest, cutest baby in the whole world right now, huh? Lucky him and lucky you to have him! Hope to get to see him before he is out of college!

Congratulations and welcome to the club! Your son is just beautiful! We love the photos you chose to post. We hope to meet him in person some day. Please keep us up to date on all the things he does (and later says!) Our number one piece of advice we give to all new parents: Be sure to take a photo of your baby every single month on his birthday during the first year. They change the most dramatically in that one year than in any other year of their lives. They triple in size and they really grow and develop. At the end of the first year you will be amazed at where he started out. Best wishes, best of luck, and of course please call if you need anything at all. What a handsome baby! Even though he's 8 pounds, he looks so small in the photo of him on the recliner! I was beginning to worry when we didn't hear anything, but so glad everyone is doing well. Now you will be able to use all of the baby stuff that is taking over your house. Congratulations!

Congratulations Kristen and Chris!!! Evan is so cute! I too love the Heatmiser reference - clever mom and dad! I hope we have a little fly fisher in Evan and can convice he and his dad to join Jim and I sometime. Hopefully he likes rock climbing too so he and mom can join us in Moab.
