More Merry Christmas

Santa has a new reindeer. You thought Rudolph with his red nose could light the skies? How about some red hair to really brighten things up!

Evan with Auntie Kathryn. Notice the ring on her finger. She is recently engaged to her former boyfriend and present fiance, Odin.

Evan enjoys hanging out with Grammy Pat.

Evan loves his books!

Merry Christmas to all

Evan dressed up for Christmas Eve service at our church. He was a very good boy, and thoroughly enjoyed all the Christmas music.

Mommy and Evan on Christmas Eve. Evan was sporting his "I Love Santa" bib. He just finished a holiday feast of pears, chicken and stars, yogurt and rice cereal. Mmm.

Look what Santa brought Mommy and Daddy!

Evan is all ready to dive into his presents. We quickly found out that a one year old enjoys unwrapping gifts for about 5 minutes. Then it's either time to harass the cat or take ornaments off the tree. Next year will be different.

Evan was given a black bean from a burrito mommy was eating. At first Evan studied this strange new object. He then delicately placed his thumb and forefinger around it, picked it up and...put it in his ear! We took it out and put it in front of him, mimicking eating it. Guess what? Yup, he put it in his ear again. Crazy kid!

Thanksgiving

Evan spent his first Thanksgiving with family and friends at
Grandma Pat's house. He took his very first steps the day
before Thanksgiving and is now walking better every day.
First taste of turkey - yum, yum!

I love my mommy and she sure loves me.

Halloween Fun

Evan had a fun 1st Halloween dressed as a little skunk.

With friend Peyton dressed as a Hershey's Kiss.

At the Halloween Parade at daddy's school.

Daddy pulled Evan in a wagon and
was dressed as an animal control officer.

Grandma and Ali were there for the fun too.

Our little pumpkin in the pumpkin patch.
He blends right in with that hair!

Evan likes the view from daddy's shoulders.

10 months old

Evan is a happy little boy who loves to play, crawl, stand, and
walk holding onto the furniture. He is on the move all the time!

Ali is finally starting to see the advantages of having a baby around.

I love my johnny jump-up!

Evan is 8 months old!

Evan is chomping on his pacifier. We're guessing it feels good on his newly emerging teeth.

Daddy believes this is the best way to get Evan clean. Mommy disagrees.

July Pictures

Jen Cowart came out to Denver from Rhode Island for a conference this week. Chris went to college with her husband. We went to the Continental Divide where water on the western side drains into the Pacific and water from the eastern side drains into the Gulf of Mexico. Evan, of course, had to tag along.

Evan has discovered that if he sticks out his tongue and blows, it makes a unique noise and a big mess.

Grandma Pat hoists Evan up at the Buffalo Bill Days celebration in downtown Golden.

The weather here in Denver has been hot so Evan is cooling off in his pool. He really enjoys it, especially accidental dives under the water. He seems to take it all in stride.

Chris' half-brother, Link Shumaker, came to Golden for a visit. He had a conference at the Colorado School of Mines.

We are at the top of Mount Evans.
It has the highest paved road in America at over 14,000 feet above sea level.

I'm a happy boy!
Evan is hanging out in the kitchen,
waiting for Mommy to get his pears and peas ready.
